Our Roots

In order to provide services to the less fortunate, Evangelist Henrietta Woody founded the Mt. Hattin Mission. The Mt. Hattin Mission eventually grew to become the Mt. Hattin Missionary Baptist Church, which later became Mission Life Church. From its inception, service has been at the heart of this ministry, service both within our walls and without. Although the name has change, our mission has remained the same. Matthew 28 serves at the core of our fellowship, and over the years, God has allowed us to express the love of Himself to many. Mission Life yearly sponsors The “Rock the World” back to school initiative, “A Jazzy Christmas” benefit concert for the homeless, “ Art and Colour” community and health festival and host of other events that are designed to share the love of Jesus in a tangible way.

VISION STATEMENT

We are a church committed to serving God in excellence, integrity, and sound teaching. We believe in honoring God with compassion that extends from our hands and our hearts. It is our focus that the Love of God be experienced in the community, in that we would reach the lost and the broken. We desire that through our lives a visible pattern would be molded to the making of disciples.

MISSION STATEMENT

Our commitment at the Mission Life Church is to make disciples using the teachings of Jesus Christ. With our faith focus being that of healing for the spirit, mind, and body; our prayer is that individual’s would be reconciled back to Christ wholly. By way of wholesome fellowship, uncompromised integrity, and being living examples of Godly excellence, we would place emphasis on family, understanding purpose, and follow through. We will serve as vessels of power, introducing the membership into the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Our Beliefs

The Bible

The Bible is the Word of God, written by human authors inspired of the Holy Spirit. The Bible is true and is without error. Isaiah 40:8; Romans 15:4; 2 Timothy 3:15-17.

The Trinity

God exists as one entity in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Each member serving different functions, equal in power and authority. Isaiah 61:1-2; Matthew 28:19; Mark 1:9-11.

The Father

God is all powerful, all knowing, ever present, immutable and Holy. God is good, and the source of all creation.

Numbers 23:19; Acts 17:28.

The Son

Jesus Christ is 100% human and 100% God. He is the only way for connecting creation to God. Jesus is perfect, and He defeated death in His resurrection by granting us eternal life with the father. Isaiah 7:14; 53; 1 Timothy 2:5-6; 3:16

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit guides believers into all truth, convicts people of their sin, and directs us into righteousness. Joel 2:28-32; Ephesians 1:13-14

Eternity

Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence. Man is a spirit that will exist for eternity. Man’s spirit will exist either eternally separated from God by sin or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. John 3:16, 36; Romans 6:23.

Salvation

The blood of Jesus Christ, provides the only way of salvation through the forgiveness of sin. Salvation occurs when people place their faith in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ.. Isaiah 55:7; Ephesians 2:8-10.

"WHAT’S IN FRONT OF YOU IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN WHAT’S BEHIND YOU "
