Set the Atmosphere

We ALL have been faced with challenges of all sorts whether they are health, relational, spiritual, or financially related. Oftentimes they overlap, and can make us ask the question, Lord, what else? The old adage comes to mind “when it rains, it pours”, but, I challenge you to thank God for the rain because rain promotes growth! Only those who don’t have seeds in the ground are upset when it rains. When we do find ourselves in those rainy, sometimes stormy situations, what do we do with them? It’s important that we live our lives to be an example of God’s grace here in the earth. Psalm 27:4-5
Regardless of where we are in life or what we are doing, we have to take time to SET the Atmosphere! We are the thermostat, not the thermometer. When we arrive in a space we bring with us God’s Glory and our expectation for the desired outcome. Please understand that we are in control of how we show up. I remember years ago I was going through a rough patch in my life and I walked in the presence of my spiritual leader and he said, “Get your countenance together!” What that did for me at that moment, was cause self-reflection. I was forced to look at how I showed up in the room, what I brought in with me, and the effect it has on others around me. God convicted me! He is sovereign, is the Supreme Ruler over all things, so why allow your flesh to take over and cover the glory of God inside of us? I was challenged that day, to constantly see situations the way God sees them. Did you know that the things we go through are “light work” for God! He is the creator of the Universe! The Alpha and the Omega! The beginning and the End! He has given us the power to speak to mountains and tell them to be removed.
So, I encourage you today to remind yourself, and your children, or anyone you have influence over, that the way we show up determines our outcome. If you show up defeated, you will be defeated. If you show up with praise on your lips and victory in your heart, guess what You Will have the VICTORY! Glory to God! We have the victory! SET YOUR ATMOSPHERE!
