Some People Just Won’t Understand!

Follow PEACE with all mankind…

I used to think that peace was something that was handed out like gift cards at Christmas! However, as I have become more mature and knowledgeable about where the peace that surpasses all understanding comes from, I’m clearly aware that it is an on the job training type of situation. You know like when you have found yourself in a chaotic situation and you pray for peace. We have to be very careful of what we pray for,  because we just might get it! Guess what, nine times out of ten, it won’t look the way you thought it would. It will show up in a way in which you have to choose it, verses the chaos.

To follow peace is to create it and carry it where ever you go. To declare before you walk into a situation that the spirit of peace will meet you there.

How do we create peace?

It’s all about choices!

Anyone who knows me knows that I believe in allowing individuals to make their own choices; when one is given the option to choose what they want verses having it chosen for them, there is a level of accountability that comes with their choice. God, being all knowing, understands that! He created us to have free will to even choose Him or the world.

So I challenge you to choose your words wisely. Choose to be silent when you have every right to call them on their mess and put them on front street!

Choose to be the one to apologize when you know beyond a shadow of a doubt that you did nothing wrong. Choose to shut down the negativity even when you are tempted to hear the juicy gossip. Choose to lift your hands in surrender to God’s perfect plan when all that is around you says hold on tighter.

So again, how do we create peace? Simply say,  “let the words of my mouth AND the meditations of my heart be acceptable in your sight Lord!” … speaking peace, thinking about peace, and sharing your peace with others.

This is the peace that some may never understand!
